Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and monthly financial reports.
- Process payroll for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist with tax preparation and filing requirements for small businesses.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track and analyze financial data.
- Assist in the annual audit process and provide documentation as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Certified Bookkeeper (CPA, CB) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
