Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and process weekly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and variance reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures efficiently.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
