Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure all invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and general ledgers.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with Washington state labor laws.
- Process tax documents (1099s, W-2s) and prepare basic tax filings as required.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track financial data and transactions.
- Communicate effectively with clients to resolve billing inquiries and provide financial insights.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience required.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred; Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with strict confidentiality.
