Responsibilities:
- Manage and process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and collect payments as scheduled.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and balance sheets.
- Process payroll for clients or internal staff on a weekly basis.
- Maintain and organize a well-structured filing system, both digital and physical.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and financial audits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
