Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently and accurately.
- Perform accurate bank reconciliations and monthly general ledger maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and tax packages.
- Process payroll entries and ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any financial discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Organize and maintain physical and digital financial records for easy retrieval.
- Assist in audit preparations and provide additional support as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is highly preferred.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros).
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
