Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved immediately.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for management review.
- Payroll Processing: Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are correct.
- Expense Management: Review and approve expenses, ensuring they comply with company policies and budget constraints.
- Tax Preparation Support: Assist in the preparation of year-end tax returns and ensure all necessary documentation is organized and filed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks and/or Xero accounting software.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when handling financial data and spreadsheets.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data.
