Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, in QuickBooks and/or Sage.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring all timesheets and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Expense Management: Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and approval workflows.
- Tax Preparation: Assist the CFO with year-end tax preparations and gathering necessary documentation.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure 100% accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ethical behavior and a high level of confidentiality.
- Certification: ACPA or AAIP certification is a plus but not required.
