Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, using QuickBooks and Xero.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Process payroll for multiple clients with strict adherence to tax laws and deadlines.
- Prepare and generate monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and the collection of outstanding invoices.
- Utilize Excel to create complex spreadsheets for budget tracking and expense analysis.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or FreshBooks.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with high self-motivation.
