Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and timely.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are recorded correctly.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process payroll and maintain up-to-date employee records in the HR system.
- Assist with year-end close procedures and support the tax preparation process.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding financial inquiries and account status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
