Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Maintain and organize a complete set of financial records, including ledgers and journals.
- Prepare and send invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and filing support.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; High School Diploma with equivalent experience is acceptable.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience is required.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Pro, Xero, or NetSuite).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Experience with payroll processing (ADP, Gusto, or similar platforms) is a plus.
- Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and basic tax knowledge.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
