Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, ledgers, and general ledger accounts for monthly and annual audits.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Process payroll and handle the preparation of necessary tax filings and documentation.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain up-to-date financial records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot errors before they become issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
