Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and ensure timely payments while maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Payroll Processing: Support the payroll team by collecting time sheets, processing payroll data, and ensuring tax withholdings are accurate.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger system, post journal entries, and audit the financial data for errors.
- Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping activities adhere to GAAP standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a busy office environment.
