Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly and weekly bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
- Reporting: Prepare and generate financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements, for management review.
- Compliance: Maintain organized financial records and ensure adherence to local and federal tax regulations.
- Vendor Management: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Assistance: Support the accounting team during tax season and year-end audits.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Experience: 1-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or a related finance role.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or Excel (advanced functions).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when handling data and financial transactions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
