Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledgers accurately.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and on time.
- Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with payroll processing and annual tax filings (1099s/W-2s).
- Perform monthly and annual financial audits and variance analysis.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks or Xero) to track and manage financial data.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (2+ years required).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero accounting software is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
