Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, ensuring all tax withholdings are correct.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and general ledgers.
- Assist with annual tax preparations and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Assist with the annual audit process and provide requested documentation to external auditors.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, and formulas).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with payroll processing systems (ADP, Paychex) is a plus.
