What You Will Do:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and general ledgers.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation support.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) to track financial data.
- Reconcile credit card statements and vendor invoices.
What We Are Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero/Sage).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations including accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Reconcile credit card statements and vendor invoices.
- Organize and maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
