Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and prepare necessary financial adjustments.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and budgets.
- Maintain and organize financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and tax records.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track financial data and generate reports.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve operational efficiency and financial controls.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks (preferred) or Xero.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
