Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to identify discrepancies.
- AP & AR: Process accounts payable invoices and manage accounts receivable collections efficiently.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Software Administration: Utilize QuickBooks Online and Xero to manage client financial data and perform data entry.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of year-end tax documents and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small business or accounting firm setting.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity across all financial documents.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
