About the Role:
As our Bookkeeper, you will be the gatekeeper of our financial health. You will manage daily financial transactions, ensure accuracy in reporting, and support our accounting operations with precision and speed. Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Manage daily accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Payroll Administration: Process payroll for multiple employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and budget reports for management review.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial documentation is organized, stored securely, and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Support: Collaborate with external auditors and tax preparers to provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Certification: CPA or AA (Associate in Accounting) designation is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly.
