Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures accurately.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Process payroll and handle basic tax filings in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Generate financial reports for management review and client presentations.
- Assist with audit preparations and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a service-based industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
