Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare accurate financial statements.
- Maintain the general ledger and assist with the month-end close process.
- Process payroll and ensure strict compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist with tax preparation and quarterly reporting requirements.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks Online or Xero) to track and analyze financial data.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
