Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Process payroll for all employees using [Software Name] or ADP, ensuring tax filings are up to date.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, including posting journal entries and adjusting entries.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Reconcile credit card statements and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related finance role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Desktop is required; experience with Xero or Sage is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
