Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including issuing invoices and processing payments.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Support the finance team with other ad-hoc accounting duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) and Google Workspace.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
