Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate ledgers.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and manage quarterly tax obligations.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure compliance with UK GAAP standards.
- Provide financial reports and analysis to management as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Finance Administrator within the UK market.
- AAT Level 3 or 4 qualification (or equivalent professional accounting experience).
- Strong working knowledge of UK tax laws, VAT regulations, and payroll processes.
- Proficiency in cloud accounting software (Xero or QuickBooks preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
