Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable and Receivable: Accurately input invoices, process payments, and manage customer billing cycles.
- Reconcile Bank Statements: Compare bank records to internal ledgers to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Maintain General Ledger: Assist in the daily maintenance of the general ledger and ensure all entries are up to date.
- Assist with Month-End Close: Support the accounting team by gathering necessary data and preparing preliminary reports.
- Organize Financial Documents: File, scan, and maintain accurate physical and digital records of financial transactions.
- Prepare Basic Reports: Generate simple financial spreadsheets and reports for management review.
- Support Payroll: Assist with the preparation of payroll data and verification of hours worked.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior accounting experience required. We value attitude and aptitude over experience.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is preferred.
- Math Skills: Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle numbers with high accuracy.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is essential for this role.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
