Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are timely and precise.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoicing, bill payment, and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing necessary schedules and reports.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in the preparation of tax documents.
- Perform AP/AR reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (office is centrally located in Dallas).
