Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Prepare and send monthly invoices to clients and resolve any billing discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial statements.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding financial inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic New York office environment.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
