Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) with high accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and send professional invoices to clients and track payments.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.
- Maintain organized, secure digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Junior Accountant, or in a similar finance role (1+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Intacct.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
