Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, preparing monthly and annual financial statements.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation filings as needed.
- Process accounts payable invoices and expense reports using accounting software.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to support decision-making for management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
