Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices accurately and ensure timely payments while managing client billing and collections.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets.
  • Payroll Administration: Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll for multiple entities, ensuring tax compliance.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Update and maintain the general ledger, perform month-end close procedures, and assist in fixed asset scheduling.
  • Tax Support: Gather necessary documentation and organize records to support quarterly and annual tax filings.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their financial inquiries and account status.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; Associate’s degree considered.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of US tax regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
