Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare monthly financial statements for management review.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring all deductions and tax filings are correct.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation, including gathering necessary documentation and schedules.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are recorded and posted correctly.
- Reconcile credit card statements and vendor accounts to ensure balances match.
- Assist the Senior Accountant with ad-hoc financial reporting, budgeting support, and audit preparation.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero is required; Excel skills must be advanced (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
