We are urgently hiring a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team in Seattle, Washington. If you have a passion for numbers and a knack for financial organization, we want to hear from you immediately.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the company. We are looking for a candidate who can maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide critical insights to our leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage all vendor invoices, process payments, and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, profit and loss reports, and balance sheets.
- Payroll Processing: Process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring compliance with Washington state labor laws.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and assist with the month-end and year-end close process.
- Expense Management: Review and approve employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Compliance: Keep up-to-date with changing financial regulations and ensure the company's financial practices remain compliant.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Software Skills: Proficient in Xero or QuickBooks; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) is required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of accuracy in financial data management.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain organized financial files and records.
