Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile bank accounts monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for 15+ clients
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) for quarterly reviews
- Implement QuickBooks solutions and optimize accounting workflows
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and Louisiana tax regulations
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and audits
- Train clients on financial software and best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Strong understanding of payroll processing and tax filings
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and confidential data
- Local New Orleans business network experience beneficial
