Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor/client communications
- Prepare financial statements and tax documentation for quarterly reviews
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks accounting systems for efficiency
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Collaborate with CFO on budget forecasting and financial analysis
- Train staff on financial procedures and software best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Deep understanding of payroll processing and tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with error-spotting abilities
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for client interactions
- Ability to manage confidential financial data with discretion
