The Role:
As a Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our financial operations. You will manage daily transactions, ensure compliance, and provide critical insights to our leadership team. This is an opportunity to work with a modern accounting suite and contribute to the financial health of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a weekly basis.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Prepare and issue financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss reports.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns and financial audits.
- Maintain and update the company's fixed asset register.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with local labor laws.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (optional, for occasional travel).
