Responsibilities
- Generate and send accurate invoices to clients in a timely manner to ensure steady cash flow.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on past-due accounts to secure payments.
- Process incoming payments via various channels, including ACH, check, and credit card.
- Maintain and update billing records in company software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, and policy clarification.
- Reconcile monthly billing statements and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Assist with month-end close processes and financial data entry.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy with data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
