Responsibilities
- Process and verify patient or client invoices and billing records with a high degree of accuracy.
- Reconcile monthly statements and resolve billing discrepancies or errors promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clients or patients regarding outstanding balances and payment plans.
- Utilize billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, Epic, or similar) to input data and generate reports.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and assist in the collections process within compliance guidelines.
- Maintain organized filing systems for all billing documents and financial records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical or corporate billing, collections, or revenue cycle management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Strong understanding of medical coding principles (ICD-10, CPT) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
