Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims for medical services rendered
- Manage patient billing statements, payments, and account reconciliations
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through direct insurer communication
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Utilize Epic EHR system for charge entry and revenue cycle management
- Generate monthly financial reports for leadership review
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure proper coding and documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in Epic EHR and medical billing software (e.g., Medisoft)
- Proficient in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Ability to manage high-volume accounts with competing deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field
