Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle processes including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve billing discrepancies and insurance denials with 95%+ accuracy
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts receivable and aging reports
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation compliance for billing compliance
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim denial rates by 15% annually
- Train staff on billing system updates and regulatory changes
- Serve as primary liaison for complex billing inquiries from patients and payers
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinic or hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent credential
- Expertise in Epic EHR and NextGen billing platforms
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, and commercial payer regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula usage
