Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95% accuracy across multiple payers
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports and implement collection strategies
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct payer and provider communication
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing documentation and transactions
- Generate monthly revenue reports for financial leadership review
- Train staff on new billing processes and software updates
- Collaborate with coding team to verify CPT/IC-10 alignment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Expert knowledge of CMS 1500 forms and UB-04 submissions
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table experience
- Exceptional problem-solving for claim denials and underpayments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
