Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims for Medicare/Medicaid and private payers
- Review EOBs and patient statements for accuracy and compliance
- Resolve billing discrepancies through insurance carrier negotiations
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) with billing documentation
- Generate monthly revenue reports for financial analysis
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture integrity
- Train staff on billing protocol updates and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- 3+ years medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and CMS guidelines
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EHR and NextGen billing systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical precision
- Excellent communication abilities for patient and insurer interactions
- Experience with AR aging reports and denial management
