Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing cycles including claim submission, follow-up, and resolution
- Verify insurance eligibility and pre-authorizations for patient services
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Generate monthly billing reports and performance metrics
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve billing inquiries
- Maintain accurate patient records and billing documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or similar EHR/billing systems
- Deep knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding standards
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with third-party payer reimbursement processes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
