Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99% accuracy
- Resolve billing discrepancies through proactive communication with patients and insurers
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports and follow-up on overdue payments
- Update and maintain patient billing records in Epic EMR system
- Conduct monthly audits for compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Train staff on billing process improvements and new insurance protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and insurance verification
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and billing software (Epic, NextGen)
- Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
