Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Resolve billing discrepancies and account receivables through follow-up calls
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance regulations
- Generate monthly billing reports and financial analytics
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate coding (ICD-10, CPT)
- Train staff on billing software updates and policy changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or Medisoft billing systems
- Strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes and billing modifiers
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with denial management and appeals processes
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in healthcare administration a plus
