Responsibilities
- Manage and process insurance claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account inquiries within SLAs
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and aging statements monthly
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate coding and documentation
- Comply with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Utilize Epic EMR and Medisoft billing systems for daily operations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) preferred
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and HCPCS Level II
- Advanced knowledge of UB-04 and CMS-1500 claim forms
- Proficient with billing software (Epic, Medisoft, or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
