Responsibilities
- Process insurance claims and patient billing for 150+ daily transactions
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits using Epic EMR systems
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct insurer communication
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all financial documentation
- Generate monthly revenue reports for leadership review
- Train staff on updated billing protocols and CPT/ICD-10 codes
- Collaborate with collections department for overdue accounts
Qualifications
- 3+ years medical billing experience with commercial insurance
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credentials required
- Expertise in Epic EMR and NextGen billing systems
- Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
- Proven track record in claim denial resolution
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and analytics tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
