Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99% accuracy across multiple payers
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and resolve billing discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding payment plans and insurance coverage
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and Medicaid/Medicare regulations
- Analyze denial trends and implement corrective actions to reduce claim rejections
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate charge capture and documentation
- Generate monthly billing reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems and billing software
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding guidelines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, accounting, or related field
