Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes including invoicing, payment posting, and account reconciliations
- Resolve billing discrepancies through meticulous research and stakeholder communication
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOX, and industry-specific financial regulations
- Analyze aging reports and implement strategies to optimize cash flow
- Collaborate with insurance verification teams to resolve claim denials
- Maintain accurate patient/client financial records in Epic/NextGen systems
- Generate monthly billing reports for executive review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical or corporate billing experience
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) or equivalent credential
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and EOB analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and billing software (e.g., Epic, Medisoft)
- Strong understanding of AR/AP cycles and revenue cycle management
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
