Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95% accuracy
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments
- Resolve billing discrepancies through patient/insurance communication
- Generate monthly financial reports for leadership review
- Update patient records with billing information and insurance details
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture compliance
- Train staff on billing software updates and best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience (ICD-10/CPT coding)
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table creation
- Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation abilities
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions with precision
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field
