Your Role:
As a Billing Specialist, you will act as the bridge between our clients and the financial services they require. You will manage the entire billing cycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and maximizing revenue recovery.
Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims accurately and efficiently using industry-standard software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding balances, and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to resolve billing issues.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Identify trends in billing denials and work collaboratively to implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical or revenue cycle billing.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required).
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
